You'd be extremely hard pressed to find anyone who understands more about the rapidly increasing overseas markets in Queensland than our Vice President. Paul Kim is extremely well placed with an intimate knowledge of the migration of Asian families to Brisbane. We routinely refer to him as a walking textbook on the subject Paul has a unique comprehension of such facts that last year more than 162,000 overseas students contributed more than $5 billion to the local economy.
Korean by birth, Paul came to Brisbane in the mid-1990s as an overseas student himself. By 1997, he had established a overseas student's recruting agency, The International Centre of English(Changed to CORE Education Service in 1998), which recruited foreign students which soon expanded with branches in South Korea and New Zealand.
His customer relations and local and international marketing experience speaks for itself. Beside his entrepreneurial skills demonstrated by the Centre of English, Paul has in his eight years in Brisbane diversified into such industries as hospitality as the managing director of a local restaurant and the finance sector as a mortgage consultant.
Throughout his time in Queensland, Paul was a frequent traveller to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China and Indonesia where he organised promotional and marketing events. It goes without saying these experiences helped Paul develop the strong and on-going relationships he enjoys in South East Asia which naturally give him the capability to develop and bring overseas investors to the local property market.
